Here’s What PETA Is Doing on Any Given Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is the perfect opportunity to donate to PETA, because on any given Tuesday—and every day—we’re working tirelessly to spread compassion for all, stamp out speciesism, and ensure that more animals are treated with the kindness and respect they all deserve. Together with our many members and supporters, we’re making sure that those who abuse animals on factory farms, like former employees at Plainville Farms, are held accountable. We’ve also been instrumental in shutting down miserable places like the hellish Envigo breeding facility and achieving other landmark victories for animals.

Here’s just a small sample of the progress we’ve accomplished on a few recent Tuesdays:

  • PETA received a perfect four-star rating (the highest possible) from Charity Navigator! This is in addition to our recognition for transparency and effectiveness by other organizations. Donations to PETA make an unparalleled difference for animals.
  • Leather-free, please! On Tuesday, September 12, Apple announced that it will no longer use leather in any of its products. We had pushed for this move, which will spare countless cows’ lives. How do you like them apples?
  • Our fieldworkers rescued Elmer from the streets just in the nick of time. Now, this “wise old” kitten is happy, healthy, and ready to be adopted into a loving home.
  • Our state-of-the-art mobile spay/neuter clinic traveled to Danville, Virginia, to offer underserved residents free spay/neuter services for their companion cats and dogs. We spayed or neutered 115 animals over the course of the two-day clinic.

These are just a few efforts and victories that occurred on Tuesdays. This holiday season, if you’re looking for an animal rights charity to support, consider donating to PETA, the premier organization working day in and day out to end speciesism:
