5 Ways PETA Is Helping Animals in Laboratories This Week

  1. Thanks to a supporter’s stock purchase, PETA has a seat at GenMont Biotech Inc.’s annual shareholder meeting and will ramp up pressure on the Taiwanese probiotics company to ban animal tests, too.

  3. A leading virtual reality outlet reported on PETA’s “Abduction” experience on college campuses in a piece exploring how augmented and virtual reality, along with artificial intelligence, can help replace archaic animal tests.
  4. A PETA “monkey” appeared at a University of Massachusetts–Amherst alumni event in Naples, Florida, demanding an end to Agnès Lacreuse’s torment of tiny marmosets in experiments meant to mimic menopause, which other primates don’t experience.
  5. As a shareholder in Charles River Laboratories, we’re demanding that the company come clean about its importation of endangered primates and its possible ties to monkey smugglers.
