How an End to the EPA’s Animal Tests Started With a PETA Rabbit

In 1998, a giant bunny that followed Al Gore wherever he went, lead to the first EPA decision to fund non-animal tests. It was a big win. Millions of animals, mostly rabbits, were spared poisoning and death. Each subsequent year brought us closer to today and, collaborating with EPA scientists at every turn, PETA has worked hard to make this victory a reality.
