5 Ways PETA Is Helping Animals in Laboratories This Week

PETA is leading the global movement to end experiments on animals. Through our vigorous campaigns, sponsorship and promotion of non-animal testing methods, and collaborations with companies and regulatory agencies, we’re stopping the suffering that animals endure at experimenters’ hands.

Here are just a few highlights from the recent work of PETA entities worldwide:

  1. After years of pressure from PETA, the Chinese government approved two more non-animal cosmetics tests that will spare countless animals tremendous suffering.Institute for In Vitro Sciences, China
  2. Liberty Research has been cited for numerous violations of state and federal regulations, following PETA’s eyewitness investigation of the dog and cat laboratory. Now we’re urging companies to reconsider their business ties with this notorious facility.
  3. PETA exposed that an experimenter at Colorado State University illegally captured dozens of crows, and he’s now under investigation by state wildlife authorities. We’re demanding an end to these cruel, taxpayer-funded experiments.

  5. PETA Courage in Leadership Award recipient Lucille Roybal-Allard recently took the National Institutes of Health to task before Congress for squandering nearly half its budget on animal experiments.
