To commemorate National Estate Planning Awareness Week (October 17 to 23), we asked two of our Augustus Club members, Niloofar Asgharian and Reichen Kuhl, to share why they felt compelled to include a gift to PETA in their estate plans, which will continue to support animals and animal rights long after they’re gone. National Estate Planning Awareness Week is a great time to ensure that your plans are in place and that everyone you love will be protected far into the future. It’s important that you prepare for yourself, your animal companions and other loved ones, and the charitable causes that matter most to you. PETA offers several free resources to help you put your estate plans together, including our Animal Companion Planning Packet, which discusses how to secure the future of your animal companions when you’ll no longer be able to care for them. We have also partnered with FreeWill to help PETA supporters create an estate plan online for free.
