5 Ways PETA Is Helping Animals in Laboratories This Week

  1. Victory! Taiwanese food giant Grape King Bio—known for its popular energy drink—has ended tests on animals after hearing from PETA and more than 63,000 of our supporters.
  2. The “Free Speech Friday” section of the University of Washington’s student newspaper, The Daily, published an op-ed written by PETA’s Dr. Lisa Jones-Engel regarding our investigations into and lawsuits against the school’s primate research center.
  3. PETA’s powerful “Without Consent” exhibit is back on display, touring the country—stopping at the University of Miami and the University of Florida this month—and opening visitors’ eyes to the history of suffering inflicted on animals in laboratories.
  4. Upon learning that rabbits were killed and dissected at a British Columbia school in front of horrified young students, PETA’s humane education division, TeachKind, leapt into action to offer cruelty-free dissection resources.
  5. Thanks to awards from PETA and PETA India, two early-career scientists will attend a prestigious international conference to interact with experts and explore developments in animal-free toxicology testing.
