Thanks to the intense work of PETA scientists, the last year has seen some terrific progress toward a future in which no animal will be condemned to suffer in a crude experiment—but there is still much more work to be done before that animal-free vision becomes a reality.
You can learn more about how we’re helping to transform research during a one-of-a-kind public forum on Thursday, January 27, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT!
This special free, 90-minute virtual forum hosted by the medical charity Phoenix Zones Initiative will feature a panel of scientific specialists—including PETA’s own Dr. Lisa Jones-Engel—who will discuss how we can all increase awareness of the suffering that animals endure during experiments and create a strategy for getting animals out of laboratories and replacing them with modern, human-centered research methods.
PETA’s Research Modernization Deal will also be highlighted, current proposed legislation to advance animal-free medical research will be discussed, and there will be a special message from Dr. Jane Goodall!
