PETA Business Friends are innovative companies that make animal-friendly products or offer animal-friendly services. It’s been impressive to see them helping communities struggling through the pandemic’s many challenges. Here are just a few Business Friends we love for putting their empathy in action:
Holistic Holiday at Sea
Normally, this fun vegan retreat takes place on a ship cruising through beautiful ocean scenery, but the pandemic dropped the anchor on all routes. With a generous pivot, this company launched Holistic Holiday at Home and is now offering its exclusive speaker program to everyone for free at home, so you, too, can receive expert advice on vegan living and wellness “designed to inspire, educate, motivate, and activate your health goals” while social distancing. Register for free for the upcoming weekend replay of VIP material.
Wuxly Movement
Canadian outerwear brand Wuxly Movement is known for its warmth and Canadian-made parkas. The Wuxly family has been spreading warmth a bit differently these days—through the production of personal protective equipment (PPE), including reusable medical gowns for Canadian frontline workers. As Canadian hospitals run low on critical supplies, Wuxly Movement has donated its back stock of fabrics as well as its manufacturing capabilities to produce gowns for Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
PINKSTIX
PINKSTIX‘s mission involves promoting social responsibility and empowering others while producing its contemporary vegan handbags. The company gave three of its handbags to essential workers in appreciation for their efforts while also hand-making masks to raise money for medical PPE for a local hospital. To top it off, PINKSTIX donated its handmade masks to a local medical center for National Nurses Week (May 6 to 12). You can find copper ion masks available on its site as well.
Veestro
Veestro has covered a basic need for many healthcare professionals and the people they serve—vegan food! The company has donated free meals to frontline workers or families in need of a boost, based on nominations from the public. Veestro also offered all healthcare staff a generous discount so that they can stock up on healthy, quick, and easy meals to stay strong during challenging times.
Doshi
Doshi creates stylish products to be “practical and useful”—just like its aid to fight the pandemic. The company donated several hundred of its disposable masks, including KN-95 masks, to individuals and hospitals and contributed to a collection for Native Americans in remote villages.
Dr. Botanicals
Dr. Botanicals shared its blissful products with care homes, hospices, hospital teams, and frontline worker groups by sending out a daily TLC package that contained 10 pampering quantities each of Moroccan Rose Hand Moisturising Cream, Pomegranate Sleeping Masks, Hand Sanitisers, and Facial Serums. To top it off, the company also donated 1,000 hand creams to local hospitals and medical centers “as a huge THANK YOU to the hard workers.”
Borboleta Bag
Borboleta Bag has been giving back to its community and social causes for years, so of course, it jumped in to help raise donations, gather resources, and make emergency kits for hospitals during the pandemic.
7AM Enfant
7AM Enfant has been donating $5 of every order of its stylish, modern children’s products to different causes throughout the pandemic, including to food banks and to the “community of medics and nurses who put their lives at risk to keep us safe.”
Aurora Lampworks
Whether it’s creating beautiful lighting fixtures or collecting, donating, and delivering hundreds of gowns, masks, and gloves to a local hospital, Aurora Lampworks burns the midnight oil to spark joy everywhere.
RISE Brewing Co.
RISE Brewing Co. knows how to fuel people on the frontline—with caffeine and snacks! This coffee company kindly made and donated care packages including its nitro cold brew and snacks for frontline workers at local hospitals and EMS posts in Connecticut. In addition, it’s still donating a can of cold brew to healthcare workers for every sale made.
Modern Picnic
Modern Picnic provides chic lunchboxes with an insulated interior and vegan leather exterior to keep you nourished wherever you are. The company extended a special discount to frontline workers so that they can keep meals at the ready.
Skin&Co Roma
Skin&Co Roma focuses on natural, healthy ingredients in its luxurious skin-care products, and it has expanded that healthy focus to a COVID-19 relief fund by donating 10% of sales to local hospitals and medical teams.
Corkor
Corkor doesn’t just make terrific vegan wallets, bags, and other accessories—it’s also making and donating individual PPE to help protect doctors and nurses at local Portuguese hospitals.
Cykochik Custom Handbags:
While you can always count on Cykochik Custom Handbags for creative and ethical custom-made handbags, you can now expect the same from its face masks. For each purchased face mask, the company donates one to a healthcare professional or nonprofit in need.
Vegan Stokes Cheese
Vegan Stokes Cheese creates artisanal vegan cheeses, and it supported a raffle raising donations to feed frontline workers and people experiencing homeless or staying in shelters by giving away a set of its whole product line as a prize to the raffle winner.
LaBante London
Classy, sustainable handbag company LaBante London has made charitable giving a priority by establishing a fund for PPE for frontline workers.
MamaSezz
MamaSezz makes delicious, healthy vegan meals that are created to heat and eat, and it’s giving meals to local food banks for every bundle purchased.
