2016 Contest Details

PETA’s Sexiest Vegan Over 50 2016 contest will be broken down into two rounds: entry, and voting on finalists chosen by a PETA panel to help determine winners. You can enter the contest during the entry round only. To enter the contest, fill out this form now, and if appropriate, it will be added to the list of entries within 48 hours, and you’ll be in the running to win a lovely gift basket and a photo shoot at PETA’s Bob Barker Building in Los Angeles.

If you’re chosen as a finalist, your first name, city and state, and photo will be posted.

PETA will consider two factors in choosing the finalists:

  • The enthusiasm that you demonstrate in promoting your entry and a vegan lifestyle
  • PETA’s assessment of your attractiveness—but not just physical (We’re looking for people who are compassionate, inspirational, healthy and active, and who speak out for animals!)

PETA will consider three factors in choosing the winners:

  • The total number of votes that you receive
  • The enthusiasm that you demonstrate in promoting your entry and a vegan lifestyle
  • PETA’s assessment of your attractiveness, including all the aforementioned qualities that make you shine

All entries must be submitted by 12 noon EDT on August 15, 2016. On September 2, 2016, PETA will announce 10 finalists –determined by a PETA panel– and voting will open to the public to help PETA determine who it should select as the winners. Voting to help PETA determine winners ends at 12 noon EDT on September 19, 2016.

On September 26, 2016, the winners (one male and one female) will be announced!

The winners will each receive a photo shoot at PETA’s Bob Barker Building in Los Angeles (winners are responsible for travel arrangements to and from PETA’s L.A. office), and a lovely gift basket with some of our favorite products from PETACatalog.com. All other expenses not noted above are excluded (including but not limited to airfare, incidentals, gratuities, deposits, meals, amenity fees and other incurred charges at the accommodation, airport transfer and all other ground transportation, travel insurance, souvenirs, sales tax, and other taxes and surcharges).

Other contest guidelines include the following:

  • Only residents of the United States are eligible.
  • All entrants must be at least 50 years old. The contest is not open to finalists or winners of previous Sexiest Vegetarian Over 50, Sexiest Vegan Over 50, Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door, or Sexiest Vegan Next Door contests run by PETA.
  • Pictures must be tasteful, and the entrant must be vegan.
  • High-resolution photos are required. The image must be sharp (not blurry or fuzzy) and well lit, and only the entrant should be appear in the photograph.
  • Entrants should not be celebrities. If you’ve won your hometown’s beauty pageant or have appeared in your local firefighters’ calendar, you still qualify. But if you regularly appear in People magazine, we respectfully ask that you step out of the spotlight for this contest.
  • No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law.
