Attention adventurers: You’ll definitely want to get your hands on a copy of Veggie Hotels, the new book that lists dozens of vegan-friendly hotels, bed and breakfasts, retreats, and health resorts around the world, including many that have an entirely vegan menu, cooking classes, holistic programs, or wellness packages.
Travel writers Karen and Thomas Klein have scoured the globe looking for terrific hotels that offer delicious meat-free meals rather than just sorry side dishes. In 2011, they teamed up with Peter Haunert to launch the world’s first directory of vegetarian- and vegan-friendly hotels. In 2015, they created VeganWelcome, a hand-picked selection of especially vegan-friendly hotels, including a number of all-vegan resorts. Some of the hotels’ chefs even share their recipes with guests, so your culinary adventure can continue after you’ve returned home.
VeganWelcome shines a spotlight on places that are paving the way for ethical tourism. More than 300 hotels in more than 60 countries are VeggieHotels or VeganWelcome members, from trendy downtown hotels in vegan hotspots like Berlin and London to a holistic health resort in Bali.
So what’s the vegan vacation destination of your dreams?
