These days, it seems like we’re finding ways to streamline everything: package shipping, Internet service, airport check-in, etc. So why aren’t we streamlining how we pay for everything? Most of the men I know carry around such huge, clunky wallets that they have permanent squares etched into their back pockets and can’t sit down without unpacking them first. Enter the new SLIDE wallet from Stitch & Locke. It’s a slim, lightweight way to have your eight most-used cards and cash at the ready, and it’s made from breathable, durable cork fabric and denim.
The unique materials make this wallet look just as appropriate on the construction site as it does on a table full of techies at Starbucks. And since it isn’t made of leather, it’s kind to animals and the environment. No cows had to be bred, raised, and slaughtered, and no harsh toxic chemicals had to be used to keep the skin from decaying.
The wallet’s creator, Calvin Kwok, launched a Kickstarter campaign to get his fledgling company off the ground. Contributors will help Stitch & Locke establish a reliable manufacturing and distribution platform to offer animal-friendly, eco-friendly accessories worldwide.
