One More Reason to Switch to Soy Milk

A recent study conducted by the University of Alabama School of Medicine indicates that pouring soy milk over your cereal instead of cow's milk may help you lose some ugly fat (in addition to the ugly cruelty of the dairy industry).
In the study, postmenopausal women were given a shake spiked with either soy protein and isoflavones or with casein (a milk protein). After three months, the women who consumed soy had less body fat than those in the placebo (casein) group, with white women losing more visceral fat (the fat around vital organs that is thought to be an especially potent risk factor for heart disease), and black women losing more fat overall.
In addition to fat loss, soy consumption is thought to provide other benefits, including reducing heart attack risk, lowering cholesterol, and alleviating hot flashes.
The news comes just months after another study indicated that soy, rather than contributing to the risk of breast cancer, may actually help prevent it.
If those reasons aren't enough to sell you on soy, how about these two?
Much of the anti-soy scaremongering that has come out can be traced back to one suspicious source-the Weston A. Price Foundation. So it's important that we do our research and look at the facts from all the leading health advisory bodies in the world, including the World Health Organization and American Dietetic Association, whose findings contradict the Weston A. Price Foundation.
So as people have been doing for the past 3,000 years, eat your soy! Click here for some delicious recipes.

I am not a fan of soy milk even though I eat tofu. I use apple juice for things like muesli and it intensifies the fruitiness of the muesli.

Almond milk FTW! This is awesome in pancakes and French toast. I even made corn bread with it, and it turned out moist and delicious, with a slightly nutty flavor.
