Vote for the ‘Worst-Dressed’ Celebrities 2009

It’s that time of the year, when you get to vote for which fur-clad celebrities will make it onto PETA’s annual “Worst-Dressed” list.
Celebrities have a big impact on the fashion industry and on their fans, who often emulate their style, so it’s important that those who choose to wear fur learn once and for all that cruelty to animals is never in style. Since you may not get a chance to tell them how you feel in person, we wanted to make sure that you had the chance to send them the message that wearing animal skins is simply a big fashion don’t.

It really doesn’t matter what designer the celebrities are wearing if it is made of anything other than a synthetic fabric. What person, in this day and age, does not know yet that fur and leather is cruel. So the intentional use of any cruel product is bad fashion.

i used to think fur was okay because it lasted a long time and was pretty. now i know the truth and will never speak of fur in a positive light. the video where the animal is skinned alive is burned into my mind forever. i cant imagine the pain that poor thing went thru. why does god allow his creatures to feel such pain?

The use and wearing of fur is just plain selfish.

I totally agree with the comment by Ms. Barbara Pupak (the first comment here).
They should realize what they are wearing on what cueelty.
They might be feeling very fashionable but for people who have sympathy and love and caring, it is just nasty.
They should know better for their ages.
I do hope people will be able to be smarter.

i see some celebs are starting to wear faux fur which is a great thing. i hate knowing that animals are getting treated so poorly….we need a change. the sad things is celebs should be role models and they should be helping stop this. this does not send a good message to anyone

There is no one that should wear fur or leather. I cannot believe how
insensitive some people are to the horrendous slaughtering that goes on, of poor helpless animals, all in the name of fashion and greed.
I believe that humans are the worst species that God created.
We need to stop supporting anyone who wears fur or believes that animals are for human use and that do not care what pain and suffering they endure. Animals give unconditional love and trust.
I pray that these celebrities can be educated and that they give up wearing fur.
